YES. All NHSONE meeting traffic is encrypted (256 bit AES) using the randomly generated meeting code as the encryption key. Additionally, every NHSONE user is required to authenticate to the server before entering a session. NHSONE has been independently audited for security.
The NHS ONE service has been designed from the ground up to enable self-service functionality for NHS users. NHS ONE is based on customised video technology, which is being used for Telemedicine and collaboration across the NHS. A license is attributed to an individual user. The user provides an email and password to the system and can then use any computer or smart device to log in. The license type such as personal pro is assigned to those users who have purchased a personal pro license. If a user is on one machine and attempts to log on to a second machine the first machine will be automatically logged out. Every user needs a license to connect to NHSONE. The Free license is available for guests or infrequent users but has limited capabilities. Purchase Options Licenses can be purchased. This is a one off fee with an annual support fee. Ideal for capital budgets. Alternatively uses can subscribe to the service paying an annual fee. This includes support. A minimum 12 month contract is required with all subscriptions.
After an order has been placed there is a 48 hour cooling off period. An email is also sent to a budget holder enabling them to cancel an order within 48 hours. Users will be immediately assigned a trial license after the cooling off period users will be assigned the license type of their choice.
The organisation will be invoiced by SECSU for software. THP innovate Ltd will invoice separately as the NHS ONE official hardware supplier.
Yes NHSONE can be used on existing computers and laptops as long as they have the minimum requirement specifications. Display devices such as LCD screens or projectors can be used along with audio devices such as headsets and speakers.
